Default 12 Volt air compressor?

Does any one make a 12-volt tire inflator that works worth a hoot?

The last one I used took forever to add a few PSI and made lots of noise and heat in the process.

I've got a campbell hausfeld, the cheap one. It works, but makes a lot of noise. When I can, I'm going to get me a real compressor...

Yea, I got one of those 12v inflators. Its loud, and heats up extremely fast. Im sure you can pick up a good one from walmart for under 100$.

Depends on your definition of "good one"... Personally, I'd like something that can run an impact in a pinch, and maybe a blowgun for short periods of time, in addition to the usual inflation tasks.

And, I don't trust or like Walmart anymore. I'm keeping my eye open for something used in the papers.

As far as the 12 volt units go, I suppose that some are better than others, but really, you can only do so much with 12 volts and no tank.

Had a bunch of different sizes and types.

What are you trying to accomplish with it?

There are no gas stations with free air here so I was hoping someone made a decent 12-Volt tire inflator.
Bill all I will use it for is toping off low tires and maybe inflating a rare flat.

I figured if any company makes a decent 12-Volt unit that does not shake, rattle, and glow red hot you guys would know.

PS: Thanks for all the help.

Ron.. I haven't seen one yet.

However if you upgrade to an SSEi it comes with an inflator

If you don't mind something big, check with the 4x4 shops. There are some 12v compressors that will run air tools that the hardcore offroaders use.
