Well, hello
Hey, Bonnevillers. I'm Brian Dreggors of Clearwater, Florida and I suppose its about darn time I signed up here. We have a 2000 Galaxy Silver SSEi.
My father bought our Bonneville back in October of 2000. One of the last (good ones) on the lot, we took advantage of the then-unprecedented 0% 60 mo. financing and traded a '99 Regal GS in on it. We figured the payments would be the same but we'd end up with a larger, better car. I suppose its obvious we did.
I remember thinking the Bonnie was absolutely hideous when I first saw a promotional brochure for it, but I guess I can blame that on that famous GM photography. I absolutely loved it in person and still do today.
This was our primary car for about four years, taking us to D.C. twice and innumerable trips around Florida. It was involved in one minor and one MAJOR accident that nearly totalled the car. Honestly, I thank the engineers who designed the G-body for likely saving my father'* life as a weaker car simply may not have held up.
Two years ago, I bought a 1996 Oldsmobile Aurora, so I've driven the Bonnie less and less, though every now and then I need a little hit of supercharged fun.
A little over six years and 117,000 miles later, she'* still running strong and looking better than she did when we took delivery. People honestly cannot believe the car is over half a decade old. For the record, our Bonnie has had no out-of-warranty problems and has never, ever left myself or my father stranded. Recently, he uses the car very heavily for work, sometimes driving almost 200 miles in a day most of it in the city and all of it with A/C at full blast. The HUD is a bit dim and the fabric covering the moonroof glareshield is loose. But that'* it. This is one absolutely amazingly reliable car, especially for being a 'big, cheap, junky American car' with lots of electrical stuff.

Sheesh Brian, it took you long enough, i remember refering you here when i first signed up on ACNA! And i sold my aurora a while ago, so it must have been a year since!
