i have a 1999 buick gegal gs and i lost the tranny i also have a 1998 bonneville se and i was thinking about taken the 3.8 supercharged engine out of the buick and dropen it in the bonneville which is a basic se non supercharged is it a big job to swap like wireing and will the trans work

The trans will work but dont expect it to last long..It would need to be upgraded with an HD diff axles and i beleive one other thing but i forget..I am not sure about all the wiring

It will take some tuning and you will need to add a wire from the PCM to the boost control. ZZ performance sells the wiring kit to do this. But the tuning will take a bit more work. You need software like HPtuners, or know someone near by that has it. Where are you located? As for your transmission. I don't remember if you have a 4t65e or a 4t65e-HD Same transmission, but the diff is different, as well as the right side axle.

If you have the HD diff, then you have no problem there. So that leaves the boost control wire, and the tune.

Providing things in the dash all work out. Also some sensors may be different. It might, or might not work right.

the dash in the regal is digatal and the dash in the bonneville is not but both cars have all the same optians
and i got a friend who is real good with wireing he has a crapaleir z24 with a twin turbo 3.4 in it he is helpn me wit the swap
