My name is Phil and I just picked up a '98 dark green SLE with 84K. Great condition, all stock except for new upper and lower intake in 2004 done at Pontiac dealer, got receipt from seller. Nothing fancy, cloth seats, standard dash, no moon/sun roof, no climate control. Liked the way car looked and picked up at "can't refuse" price. Drives great.

First Bonne but not first 3800 H car.
Past 3800:
1985 Olds 98 (first year for FWD 3800) blew the engine at 33K, GM put in a new one.
1986 Olds Delta 88 2 door
1990 Olds Delta 88 Royal (just sold it, drove it for 221K all original engine/trans)
1992 Buick Lesabre

Can you tell I like the 3800?

I like to do most of my own maintenance except for under car. No lifts or good safe jacks. Enjoy reading post on forum very much. There is a lot of knowledge here. I am looking to get into diagnostics and OBD II using a laptop.

I am a broadcast consulting/project management engineer. Live in NJ near Philadelphia.

What makes you think you have a SLE? Sounds like you have an SE since there'* no leather, sunroof or electronic HVAC controls.

do be so sure Vital, Seth (Smellbird) has a SLE with Cloth, no ECC, no TC, no roof, and there is more, that i cant think of.......
