I've only had the car for a few weeks, just made the first payment, and a damn fog lamp went out. i bought the lamp required but can't find how to install it. Am I going to have to go to a dealer?

Fog lights going out on the GXP models is a VERY common issue. Does the car have a warranty? Search for "fog light" in the GXP section to find many similar topics.

There is a filler panel under the front end of the car held in place with several push-in style retainers. If you remove this panel, you can access the fog light housings. What bulb did you buy? Many of the refernce books are wrong on the number they specify.
