Seems that GM owners/fans are no longer welcome there, says nsap. Not a GM Website, says nsap. So here I am.

Three in the stable right now, a 2009 Charger R/T (After GM killed Pontiac had to go elsewhere), a 2006 Ford Escape hybrid, and my and my mechanic'* toy, a 1995 Grand Am that isn't anywhere near stock, but one helluva lotta fun.

Thanks once more.

First, some history. I had a 2002 Bonneville SSEi at the time, and loved it dearly. My niece was coming to stay with me while she went to school in this city, and needed a car. She wanted a Civic, as her boyfriend here was a Honda mechanic.

The GA was under an oak tree dripping sap on it in 2010, and I offered $800, got it for $1,000.

I painted it myself, then the Honda mechanic and I went to work, since he figured out that a V6 was much stronger than a105 hp Vtec.

It got:

HID headlamps and driving lamps;
LED turn lamps, markers, interior and side lamps;
Koni shocks and struts, lowered 1 inch;
A performance steering rack, and ps pump and hoses;
Low profile Pirellis;
Rebuilt 3.1 l V6 with new computer and programming;
Rebuilt 4T60e transmission with phase 2 shift kit;
Custom low backpressure exhaust;
Cold Air intake.
All window tint, 35-65.

Charged the AC with R134a, works fine.

Niece left in 2012, car went uninsured for a time. Truth told, I had never actually driven it since it was "finished" in 2011.

On March 31, 2012, a garbage truck ran a red light @ 35 mph (estimated by police) and destroyed my Bonneville SSEi. It literally saved my life, I should according to police, have been killed. They were impressed by the sheer strength of the Bonnie.

Upon my release from hospital in May of that year, I began dealing with the insurance company to replace it. This became drawn out, so I began driving the GA instead of caving in to ICBC (provincial insurance company).

That GA is more fun by far than the Dodge Charger that replaced the SSEi. It'* a rocket.

PS: Still haven't figured out all the stuff the stereo head unit does, but the 8 speakers are great.
