yes it was the job and part only costed me 60 dollars gave the guy 70 cash because he fixed my abc/traction control he said it was running off 4 cylinders i ran it with this problem for a few days now what do u recommend to clean up all the unburnt fuel and overheating of the exhaust manifolds more lucas injector or some kind of additive?seems like the idle position is laggy rpms jump up to 5500 before shifting out of 1st gear hitting around 80 kph there is some kind of sweet spot on the peddle for it to jump and go i think its time for a complete tuneup?i bet he didnt remove the spark plugs and clean the tips?like i said the owner i got it from put performance parts into it since he got discount how long do these engines last for anyways? thank you for your input im trying to save money up but this car keeps setting me back is 550-600 k per 70L tank normal with synthetic high performance oil with lucas oil

Glad to hear its running better. Gas vaporizes at far below room temperature, I'm sure it all dissipated soon after you got all 6 plugs firing again. I guess the unburnt fuel got the cat red hot. Hope the heat didn't take out the O2 sensor. Is it running now without throwing a code? Pugs are relatively cheap and I would just replace them for the trouble of taking them out. The 3.8 routinely runs 200k+ miles if not ran hard, and we have seen quite a few top 300,000 miles. Once you get it all worked out, the gas consumption should get alot better.

yes its running full throttle without throwing any codes on just seems like it sticking or a like a bad responce time when i put the puddle to a certain sweet spot?i took out all the sensors on the throttle body and cleaned it up with intake cleaner maybe when i set the TPC back in i set it off last summer i dunt know it runs havnt had much time yet to check my performances yeah a new 02 sensor might help or bad compression ratio on the manifolds? its 9 years old with almost 300 000 k on it and im just in highschool with a part time job so i rather not spend money on something i dunt need just to make it run a lilttle better but saving fuel helps im going to drive it like a granny for the winter though

Move the gas peddle down slowly and pick up speed. Does the engine stumble at about the same spot each time? If so, you might have a bad TPS, Throttle position sensor. Try testing it. https://www.gmforum.com/t279319/
