welcome to the forum. Why exactly did you tear the car down.restoration.Glad to have ya jimmy
I bought it as needing work, couldn't even hear it run, just took a chance as a had a 89 GTA which i had for about 2 years but was desperate to get another 2nd gen.I just tidied it up a bit and got it running and roadworthy but when i went to Knightcon show in it the trans gave up as i was coming home, drove it about 40 miles with just 1st & 2nd gears, then about 15 miles from home it engine started knocking, couldn't afford to fix it at time,a couple of months later i got a 400 out of a 72 GTO but that started with a little end knock and had a couple of sticking valves before i got car back on road. Then just as i got the money to fix that i got sacked from my job so not been able to spend on it.

Roger.
I got it from Spurr cars over in Sheffield, they bought it intending to break but decided it was too good for that, paid £2600 for it in 2008.
They told me the woman they bought it off bought it new when she lived in Canada, she came over here and brought the car with her.Don't know when that was but she gave it to her son who took it to his works to restore it there,he ripped the interior out but that was about it,then he died, don't know what from but he was only 29.
I am in Wigan,up near Manchester, not been to any shows down south while i have had it,only been to two,RAF Woodvale at Southport and Knightcon 2010 over in Halifax.
