Hey,
Is a 1992 sse bonneville available with the supercharged v6? I saw one in the local classifieds that clamed to be "turbocharged" and it cost $2,000, I just thought the turbocharged was a misprint.

I would agree the "turbocharged" is probably a misprint.

Series 1 Supercharged L67'* first appeared in the 92 SSEi. Never a Turbo, but our great-grand-daddy, the Buick Grand National 3.8 did have a Turbo

Hey Kev,
Glad to see you made it over here (I guess I'm a little behind -sent you the PM about BC after you found it -LOL).

I hadn't realized the SSE you were looking at was SC'ed, but yeah, they made 'em, but they didn't necesarilly have all the options the SSEi had, but that means it'* probably lighter and faster than a SSEi.

Biggest problem I'm aware of with the 1992 SC'ed 3800 is the supercharger coupler (from what I've seen they are pretty easy to change and the cost for all the parts needed is under $50). You can tell if the coupler is bad if the SC rattles under idle, but stops rattling when you hit the gas.

Oh, and welcome aboard BC.

Actually, the SC SSE should weigh exactly the same as an SSEi, unless it'* missing the sunroof.
