I've heard about the *-10'* and Blazers getting better gas mileage when a V-8 is dropped in. Is this because the V-6 isn't "economical" enough for the weight its trying to carry?

the 4.3 is not an efficient engine. if you put a 5.3 in any truck they get better mileage and a ton more power.

Thanks for the motivation to upgrade my engine Justin. And the good thing is, my PCM can be setup for either V-6'* or most of the bigger V-8'* with just a couple mouse clicks.

What is a good exhaust I could put on the car, something with more performance than sound, Ive been leaning toward magnaflow'* but ive never had them before so I wanna get a second opinion before I go get one and be disapointed

It'* next to impossible for anyone to offer any type of exhaust upgrades because everyone has different types of hearing/likes/dislikes. What sounds good to one person, may not sound good to another.
You might be able to do a 3.3 liter exhaust upgrade search on Youtube and compare side by side what every ones exhaust sounds like. But don't let the audio fool you. Cameras and PC speakers don't re-create the full audio spectrum very well.

yep everyone like something different. im not a big fan of the 60deg engine with a loud exhaust. imo the best ive heard it is when my firebird had the 2.8, i put a stock 350 exhaust which was just a single 2.5 cat back to a single in dual out 2.5"

mike sounds like it was an easy push
