Default New Used Bonneville Owner, Cleveland, Ohio

I just wanted to drop a note, this is my third Bonneville and came across this site by accident. Just picked up a 98 SSEi with 110,000 miles on it. It was originally in PA and its in pretty good shape. Have always like the Bonneville and have been dying to get an SSEi for a long time. Hope to come across some good information, thanks for the site.

Welcome Bob. That was a very fortunate accident (finding us). Are you here for repairs, mods, sparkling conversation, or all three?

Thanks for the greetigs, they are appreciated. I am located in Mayfield Heights which is a southeast suburb of Cleveland. Just before I purchased the Bonneville I did a bunch of searches on the SSEi to see if there were any inheritant problems with that model that I needed to be aware of and I stumbled across this site, so I was here for information at first.
Now that I am here, I will tell you I was surprised when I drove this car and found that the three parts of the instrument panel use green displays, thought it would be all red. I also have to replace the muffler and am hoping there will not be a problem finding the two custom tailpipes involved with the exhaust. And I filled up the car yesterday and found I have a slight gas leak hopefully on the filler tube because I left a small puddle, but after driving to work and back it was ok. Other than that, it is a twelve year old car and knew there would be some kinks to work out. The steering is tight and responsive and love the seating in the car (although I might be in the market to replace the front seats due to some wear in the drivers seat). But overall I am very happy with it.
Again, thanks for the comments and glad I found this site.

I've never heard of a filler tube leaking beacuse it'* plastic, but its possible

As for the seats if you give Morad Parts Company a call they might have some and you can pick them up www.moradpartscompany.com, the Ebay store is not even half what they have there

Finding and exhaust for the W-body shouldn't be too hard
