Hey everyone. I just got a 1995 Bonneville. I was wondering what has gone wrong with this model. If any information could be told, i'd appreciate it.

Not to sure what to expect. I'm just wondering about the tranny and engine. How do they hold up. And what kind of leaks are you talking about?

The engine is a Series II, so it is prone to an intake mainfold crack which can spill coolant in to your engine which will destroy it. Check your coolant levels often, and watch for leaks. Also, get a 180 T-Stat on there to keep things cool so it won't crack. Heat is what causes it. Otherwise its a solid car with a solid powertrain.

Welcome aboard.
Best way for us to advise you on problems you might encounter would be to put the model in your signature.
If you have a 1995 SE, SLE, or SSE with the non-supercharged Series II 3800 watch your temperature guage as well as the coolant level and put a 180* Thermostat in. The upper intake is very prone to cracking and has been known to hydrolock the engine. Transmission problems mainly have to do with the trans not going into OD lockup. Also, these cars have alternators go out fairly often too.
If you have a SSEi with the supercharged 3800 the most common problems are the coupler in the supercharger, and occasionally the harmonic ballance pulley.

If you have no problems now, then you will put in about 10 bucks for the 180 thermostat.
EDIT: I have never had any major issue with the car. Never had to replace anything, and it'* never broken down on me.
