Hello. I guess no one should be all that surprised that there'* a Bonneville owners club -- I'm glad I found my way to it.
I'm a IT specialist for the federal government and I live in Eagle, Idaho -- a town of about 13K just to the northwest of Boise. I own a black 2005 Bonneville GXP. For the most part it'* a great car, but I've had a couple of problems with it that have disappointed me -- I'm disappointed in the apparently cheap-o materials used on my expensive GXP, but I'm especially disappointed in the dealer'* responses to problems. Anyway, enough morbidity. I do enjoy my Bonnie -- it is powerful and a blast to drive because in spite of being a big car it seems to like to be driven and it is definitely capable. On top of that, you can't gripe about 18 or so in-town MPG from a 275 horsepower V8 -- fantastic motor in this car -- even twisting it a bit hard now and again. On a recent road trip, I got a best MGP of 27 -- cruising from Boise to Salt Lake City at a more-or-less steady 80 mph.

Welcome, This is a great site!
I had a problem with my DIC and ended up getting a transmission flush and an oil change for my grief. Send me a PM and I will tell you what I eventually did to get my car fixed.

Thanks for the welcome -- I'm glad I found this Club -- it'* already been helpful (I posted a tech question about the fog lights on my 05 GXP and got a couple of great responses).
The crack about "got taters?": Uh, yeah, that'* real clever -- haven't heard that one before!
I've got some pictures of my Bonnie -- I'll get 'em posted with my profile soon.
Again, thanks much for welcoming me to the Club....
