Hi Mike,
I am a car enthusiast from way back and have worked in car audio install, dealership install work, i.e. pdi prep mechanic, and now I'm winding up my career with the State Patrol installing equipment in new Squad cars and also strip out work on many return Squad cars. I bought a 92' Buick Century a few years back and will be trying in the next year to finish the restore on it. People don't see why I would want to hang on to such an old car but this one had sentimental value because it came through our Prep Garage as a new Vehicle when I used to work for that Dealership. The original owners were older Snow birds who drove it South for the winters. Hence, it is still pretty solid. At 107,000 mi it'* just in need of many new seals and bushings in the front end. I am going to be removing the entire engine, tranny and cradle from the body as I'm very limited with only a 1 stall garage. I would be very interested in information from a experienced Mechanic who has done this before. I am handy and have almost any tool needed for this but would love to here from anyone who knows the easiest way to separate the cradle and maybe saving me a few headaches.. Thanks, Chuck

Welcome again Charles.

I don't think we have anyone here that has dropped the cradle on an old one like yours, but a few of us have done 95+ frame drops. Being a 92, and if your a little adventurous, remove the harness, engine, transmission and PCM, and find a 1995 PCM/harness and a SERIES2 engine/trans combo. The parts and mod upgrades are far more than the older Series1 brother.
