Hello everybody. I currently own a 1997 Olds Aurora, black with tan interior, Flowmaster 40 series mufflers with stainless tips, gutted airbox with K & N, and really love this car. I am looking to buy a 2001 SSEI (not to replace my Aurora). It is midnight blue, 73,000 miles, great condition. Dealer is asking 10,995. What do you think? What issues should I be looking for/asking about. I know about the ISS problems and window problems, as well as water in the trunk issues. Anything else? Thanks for any help....

Welcome. There are a few Aurora owners on the forum. Be careful of a character that goes by the name of Jim W. J/K

Take a look in the 2000-2005 forums and most of your questions should be answered.

Hi...Welcome to the club.

Wait til Jim W sees this. He also loves his Aurora...(I'd like one too).

Being the intro section you won't get much exposure on your general buying questions here. I would suggest posting your questions under the general section in this case.

On the pricing..check KBB and really look at dealer trade in, that is about the wholesale price in the area.

Hello and welcome from another new member. I just bought my 2001 SSEi with 59k for $10,500. I got the car from an elderly gentleman from North Carolina. The Kbb Private party value is $12k and retail(dealership price) was $15k. I would say $11k for a starting off price on a ssei from a dealership is pretty damn good. I was looking through the Ohio area myself when I found my car. Try to talk um down to around $10k and I would say its a steal! Good Luck
