Hey Everyone
Just joined, just found this club and am thrilled that there are others that truly love these cars I'm on my second Bonny- I had an '89 SSE that was in almost mint condition, but had a lot of miles on it- 438,000km to be exact- and everything went at once. I had it for four years (was my Dad'* had it since new- so it was in the family for 13 years) But I definitly wanted another one. So I ended up with a 91 White on tan SSE. The car was a piece of **** when I got it- the previous owner did not take care of it all. But that changed since I got it.
I gutted the inside and replaced the seating and safety restraints with that of a 98' SSEI. (what a pain in the ***) and added leather door panels from an 89 SSE". It did not have leather before. I've customised the Interior with too many other things to list. It has Ghetto gold rims on Good Year Eagle RS-A'* 16". Its white with hardly any rust- I'll get it painted this summer. Solid frame, and one sweet ride. I'll have to get some pictures up.
But I have one major issue- like many other SSE owners the tail lights look like ****. There were cracks all over them. So I cut the clear plastic off and removed the plastic bars- so they don't look bad now- but I still don't like them. Are there any after market suppliers that make them- I'd really like to get clear ones.

Welcome! Your interior seat swap may be of interest here. I've seen some 87-91 guys ask if that was possible. You just proved it!

Must be something up with us '87-'91 guys in Toronto, huh? :P

Yes, there are indeed lots of tails at the scrapyard... but a lot of them suffer the same fate as others - lots of cracks and such... It'll be hard to find, but you can find them...

Giant crack running down the left piece... noooooo
