Hi and welcome to the club!
Yea, you definitely want to make the meets if you can. They're a good time and the people are just great! Check out Bandits thread in the National meets section, He'* east of Rochester NY, (~4hrs for you? ) coming up in a few weeks. I was a bit nervous on my first meet last year but now its "Honey do you want to drive to Conneticuit and grab a Red Robins burger with BC'ers?" and yeah we went to Conn for a burger...LOL
