Hey guys, just your run-of-the-mill 19 year-old, residing in obnoxiously sunny Martin County, north of West Palm Beach. Had my Bonnie for about eight months now, a metallic eggplant (I swear! What an awesome color...) '93 SE with 146k miles on her. I've only put 4k miles on her since I bought her for $1400
It was a great deal for a car as straight as she was. Was is the operative word, and if it wasn't for my own stupidity she still would be. As a consequence, I am now in the market for a '95 SE. So, as a shameless plug to end my little introductory post, just have 2 questions: Can I get a good-great condition '95 w/ high miles (125-145k mile range) for 2 grand around here? If anyone'* selling in this area, in other words, I'm interested. I like the '95 body style, and it'* the only year of that body style to have the Series II in it
A nice console shift base SE would suit me just fine, maybe a spoiler and hopefully a tranny cooler like my current one, but, hey, I can't be too picky for $2000
Oh yeah, and the second question: Can anyone give me any specific info on the ruptured plenum problem these early Series II engines have? I know it'* something with corrosion eating through it around a vulnerable area surrounding the EGR valve, but I have no idea how to detect it, etc. Any sharing of other personal experiences with this year and trim level is heartily welcomed! And just so I don't forget to say it, it'* nice to be a member of a board where all the members (assumedly) love their Bonnies as much (or more!) than I! Old person'* car my right foot!

Regarding the intake manifold question there is a LOT of great information regarding that issue in 92-99 Mech and Maint forums.
Good luck with the car

Don't let anyone know where you live... I'll pay them to steal the bumpers and mirrors....
Do you got a muffler with double outlet on one side? Do you got grey leather, and the silver cross laced wheels?

Trust me, you don't want ANYTHING off of my Bonneville! I'd consider that cruel and unusual punishment...

Got any pics?
