Hey guys, what'* up? I'm Shaun and I just (today!.. well yesterday technically) purchased a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. I've gotta say.. I'm impressed. I was previously hanging around the W-body.com forums, since I had a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix. I really had my heart set on getting a 97+ GTP but neither me nor my parents could get financing, so that was out of the question (long long story). I was just about to give up searching when I found a '94 SSE on AutoTrader.
I went to go look at it on Wednesday. The paint was oxidized in some places, but it didn't seem to be beyond repair. We were down to one car, and I had been saving up for a while to get a newer car. Bonneville price: $2500. Our funds: $2700. That = w00t. We went down to test drive it today. I had never actually ridden in, let alone driven a Bonneville of any sort. I was shocked to find out how performance-oriented the suspension was. I was so used to the bullshit FE1 on my GP, I forgot what it was like to be able to take a turn at a decent rate of speed. We walked away 30 minutes later, keys in hand.
Thanks to Atlanta rush hour traffic, I got to spend some quality time "bonding" with the car. Now I've driven plenty of cars with HUD. GTP'*, Older SE'*, etc. It just never gets old.. Sure it'* a gimmicky feature, but damn do I love it. The sound system is fantastic for stock. I won't need to be touching that anytime soon. The CD player headunit seems to be having Delco-disorder with the LCD display, however. You know the deal: Orange band, RED, orange band. Cheap pieces of ****.
The jackass who owned the car before managed to somehow pull the damn shade right out of the sunroof assembly. HOW exactly would I go about getting that back in? Also, the car came with a RKE key fob, but it doesn't seem to work. Is there any lead I can ground to see if it'* the reciever? I know in W-bodies a purple wire hangs down that you can ground to the body and it'll cycle the locks to ensure proper operation.
Weeeel, aside from all that, is there anything else I should be looking out for? So far, I'm pretty impressed and happy with the car. It doesn't have the feeling that it'* "mine" just yet, but I'm sure that comes soon. It takes a while to get over your first car..
Anyhow, here are the pictures I have now. I'll get better ones tomorrow when I actually take the time to clean the car up:

I hope to be spending some quality time with all of you here :wink2:

yup stop by SEBC and sign up. I looks like the Fuel rail and teh Alt were just replaced. so that is good, but your TC light is on....could be a number of things, unless you just shut if off..
then there is no problem..... I think that you have to drop the headliner ot get that shade in properly, and for the remote what is the FCC ID number on the back ok the remote, that is important in determining if it works with your car
