Default NEW bonneville owner

hey everyone im mike im from central oklahoma i just picked up a unabused 64 bonneville factory air car with a 389 and a 3 speed 100% original with the exception of the tires alternator and battery its in really excellent shape considering it has sit outside since 1993 it was a one owner car up until i found it a lil ole lady bought it new and wrecked it in the drivers side fender in 93 it has sat since then i bought it off of her 3 weeks ago for 2000 dollars a lil expensive probably so the only rust i found on the whole car was in the trunk just because of a bad trunk seal and it has surface rust but nothing else wrong with it it didnt run when i got it but with the help from a buddy i put cap bug plug wires plugs and filed the point and she busted right off i still need to finish her off with a few things like fuel pump filter new air filter and probably a new carb she still has a full tank of gas from back in 93 so you can only imagine what it smells like sooo i figure ill drop the tank this weekend and drain it i put the oklahoma credit card in the gas tank earlier this week and tried to drain it and couldnt stand the smell so i quit im starting about a half build on the car since the interior is near perfect im probably not going to touch it im going to focus on the wheels tires paint trunk and motor area first im probably about to **** people off but i think i might even add air ride just for the stance not to hop around town and i manage a car audio store where i live so its going to have one hell of a sound quality stereo system in it i've added a few pictures let me know if i made a horrible investment or if ill ever be able to sell this car after i put about 15,000 in it

Welcome the the GMforum. The pictures are very small, but from what I can see it looks good. Be sure to take pictures of the restore and post them up. We all love to watch a Bonneville come back to life.

Welcome to the forum. It'* not a bad investment if you enjoy it and think it'* worth it. As far as selling it goes, that'* going to depend on who looks at it.

i do enjoy it and the reason i picked a 64 bonneville is because i have never seen one in person all done up ive seen tons of factory resto'* but not any like the sketch up there ive always been different i started with a typhoon blazer and ended up with a ls6 and all the goodies on it then went to a 01 s10 with a 5.3 then i moved on a to a 03 jaguar xj8 (worst car in history) ill never ever ever own another one and now im building this i come from a town of about 150,000 and never once have i even seen a 60'* model bonneville on the streets
