Key won't turn in 2002 olds intrigue

Default Key won't turn in 2002 olds intrigue

Shut the car off. went back to start it and the key goes in fine dinger comes on but wont turn. Tried a different key same thing. I took cover off the shifter, unhooked shifting cable and manually put in nuetral. same thing key won;t turn.

does it have a steering wheel locking feature? also did ya try wiggling the steering wheel back and forth and see if that helps?

steering wheel does not lock. The key has been wiggled every which way it can,LOL

The lock cylinder is junk..The part you put you key in. you have to replace that Also welcome to the forum

sometimes you can get the cyl to turn by spraying wd40 in it and working the key in and out to get the pins moving

Replaced the switch. Key turns fine now. All the buzzers and fuel pump comes on but car does not turn over? By the way thanks for the replies!
