Intro and Questions
Hi, I'm Buttons. I got the nickname because of how many buttons I have in My 1998 Bonneville SSei. Im rather new to the car thing and I live in Ballwin Mo. but as we all know if you are anywhere near St. louis your from St. louis and not Ballwin per se. I have begun playing around with an old 64 Buick and it is where I plan to learn about cars before i subtly mod my Bonneville. I am concerned about my supercharger because no one seems to know about a supercharger oil and I cant find out how to change it (it needs it badly I'm sure because no one has changed it yet and it is approaching 97,000 miles) some other minor problems are with the weather stripping and fuses for the cigarette lighter sockets. I also would be trying to find a way to put cold air intakes on it if i could. Does anyone know of a local club or the like? After that i dont know my next venture. If i could get all these answers in on one thread i would be greatly pleased and I'll thank all of you in advance because i know all advice is useful . thanks for your help it is appreciated -Buttons

First off, welcome!
Second off, before one of the admins tells you to put your year and trim model in your profile, I may as well tell you beforehand
Third off, for the CAI, please read [url=http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15624&highlight=rice+pipethis whole thread[/url] [yes, all six pages].
Fourth off, the local club, no. BC is purely and online resource, however there are quite a few group members who gather every so often to meet, greet, have fun, and the like. I'm sure you live close enough to a couple of members for one of those.. you may want to post something in the appropriate gatherings forum.
I can't help you with the supercharger oil.. i'm a naturally aspirated guy myself

Any GM dealer will have the SC oil. Part number is in the Techinfo article posted above. Get 2 bottles, or more if you're going to flush. Suck it out, put new in. It'* really quite simple. Your plug is on the nosedrive of the sc. Small black hex head plug.
Welcome to the Club. I hope you find the answers for all of your questions. Start looking around in the performance thread and you will find lots of things you can do to help out on your bonnie.
Thanks everyone. I have some high hopes for both this forum and my car now... everything will finally fall into place. It sure is good to hear that there is in fact a supercharger fluid and that the book wa not playing me for the fluid like saying to replace the 'blinker fluid' every 3,000 miles.
