I'm new
Yep, I'm a noob. HAHA!
Anyways, I have a pewter '00 Bonneville SE. I need help with something that'* been bothering me, but I can't find info on it anywhere. I also posted this in the 2000+ section.
I have a '00 Bonneville SE and when I check the oil I get different readings. On one side of the stick it says it'* low, and on the other side of the dipstick it says it'* over full. Which side should I be reading? I put a put what the manual said in when I changed the oil, 4 1/2 quarts. I added just a little bit just to be safe. Plese help me ASAP, this has been bothering me on this car for a while and I'd like to know which side of the stick is accurate.
Thanks for any help.

Welcom to the club. And ya know what, I can't for the life of me figure out how a dipstick could read so differently from one side to the other...
My guess would be to average the reading. Try to center at, or a tiny bit below, full.

WELCOME for starters!
As for your question, make sure you're on a level surface first. Wipe the stick clean first & then insert it again slowly. Remove & then check reading. It should now read properly.

I'm a new member to this club! I've got a 1994 Bonneville SSEi. I just got a sirius satellite radio and i'm trying to hook the audio output to the stock radio/tapedeck. I can't figure out hoe to easily remove the unit to check if it has audio in!

For the dipstick, it helps if the car is warm, then give about 10 minutes for the oil to settle back down out of the dipstick tube.
For the sirius, sorry....there are no inputs on the stock deck. To remove it, gently pry the gray trim off the face of the dash (it just pulls off) and you'll see the screws for the deck. Very simple to get to.
Welcome to the club, both of you!
