Hey! I really like this sight. I'm the proud owner of a 2000 bonneville ssei. I previously owned a '92 ssei which my brother now owns and is still kickin' with around 200,000 miles on it. It was white with a grey interior. My 2000 is dark blue with a grey and charcoal interior. I have a co-worker who has really gotten me interested in doing some mods. I'm not looking for anything major, though I'd like to add 20-40hp'* to it eventually. It'* still under warranty so I need to be careful I don't go too far for now and get messed out of it.

I haven't worked on modern cars with computers and sc'* so I'm learning a lot from this site as I go through your posts. I used to own a '69 nova ss with a 350, holley 750 double pumpers, headers and glasspacks (lol) My exhaust ended where my front seat head rest is. I had corvette chrome valve covers, and metallic hoses. I had a pretty high rise on my intake manifold too! I had a lift kit picking up my rear a bit, and a tach on my dash. I had the 350 turbo tranny. She was blue with a black interior. After I sold her, the dude'* girlfriend wrapped it around a telephone pole and totalled it!

So far I've just took my old air filter out and installed a k&n filter in it. It'* not as good as a cone set-up like I see in some of your cars on this site, but at least I'll pick up a few hps and she'll breathe a bit better. I'm looking to install a 3.5" pulley and get a 180 thermostat, though I'd love to hear more from anyone who can school me more on these.

Anyone got a series II out there who've put a pulley on and the 180 thermostat as well?

Welcome! Glad to have you here. Lots of guys running that pulley and stat. You'll want that intake finished up not long after the pulley, though. I gaurantee it!

I have a 3.4 pulley and the 180 stat, I would also gut the airbox and put AC 41-932 plugs in (one heat range colder) These couple of cheap mods will give you 30 hp and around 50 ft lbs. of torque, they really make the car fun to drive.
