Unhappy Comfy ride

I keep hearing about this comfy ride, but mine rides terribly :( when i hit any bump in the road (no matter how minor) it feels like I have a trunk full of jello or it feels like its gonna fish tail. guess after 16 years some of the bushings and such are all worn out.

Welcome to the GMForum.com. Man those pics take me back. I had a 92 PA in that color, and my wife a 91 in the light blue. Great cars and of the most comfortable I've owned.

Yeah the older ones(well the two ive had have felt the same way)But IIRC it is because of the air shocks
(optional) and lack of rear sway bar I could very well be wrong and skinny tires i beleive ..But i also found with the stock 14 inch rims/tires it is this way but with my 17 inch wide tires on it eliminates that issue mostly

This week I'm gonna replace the air struts and see if that helps. If that doesn't work then I'm just gonna try replacing the sway bar links and bushings. And if that doesn't work I'll replace the rear ball joints (apparently this car has them in the back). And if all that doesn't work... well I have no clue since the entire rear will be new, and there'* nothing else to replace. Like I said 16 year old car that I bought off of some one on an island (or is it a peninsula?) so there is prolly some damage to the rubber stuff. I only paid $1000 for the car, so I'm not too too worried. So far I have only have had to put on new front brakes (original caliper seized and caught fire). Once thats fixed then I'll be happy! lol

Welcome! I wish you the best of luck with your suspension. Don't give up, whatever you do! You share bolt patterns and such with plenty of other cars, so no reason to remain stock and pursue better handling.
