Hi, just got a 92 SSEi and I am looking for tips. I got it dirt cheap (1400)but it has some issues, like that driver info center not working, nor the HUD. I have owned performance sedans in the past, Taurus SHO for one, but not ever one with a super charger.
ANy way, last night bringing it home it started bucking and coughing and would NOT excerate in the middle of traffic. We shut it off, and restarted it but and it was fine, for about 6 blocks, then it would repeat. The car has been sitting for a while, maybe a year, and I wouder if the gas went bad, then I didn't put high enough octane in it and that was a bad mix. Today I changed the fuel filter, so we'll see if that works, but any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi and welcome. I'll leave any technical advice to the guys around here . Sounds like once you get the car'* issues taken care of you'll have a nice supercharged bonne. What happened with the SHO? I used to have a friend that had one of those, they're fun little cars too.

Welcome! Give us a detailed description of the problems down in the 92-99 forum. They'll be more likely to be seen there, and we can go into detail.

Thanks for the support! I sold the SHO a couple years ago to buy our Intrigue, regreted it ever since, I loved that car! It was like driving a 4 door mustang GT!
