Default Hello All from Quincy, MI

Hello, My name is Ken and I’ve been driving a 96 Bonneville SL (leather, sunroof, digital heat) since August of 98. It has 223,000 miles and still runs and handles smooth. Replaced the intake gasket and on my 2nd set of struts but other than that no major repairs. The AC still blows cold air but I use the sunroof every chance I get.

I’ve always been a fan of Pontiacs since riding around in high school in 65/66 Bonnevilles I can think of 3 different 65/66s we road around in. All were light blue and one had the reverb option which made AM radio echo between the front and back speakers. One of our family cars was a 62 Executive.

I was sad when Pontiac quit making the Bonneville and found this Site while searching for another used Bonneville. To date my Bonneville has been one fantastic car and I don’t plan to retire it unit it rolls over to 300K. I drive it 120 miles round trip about 3-4 times per week. I would put the reliability and serviceability up against any car out there.

The Pontiac brand will be missed

Ken

Hi and Welcome to the Bonneville Forum! We can keep that Bonnie running great for many more miles!

Please add your year and trim of your vehicle to your signature line. That way when you start asking questions in other areas of the forum, we all have a better idea on how to assist you. Click on "Quick Links" above, go down to "User Control Panel" and then click on "Edit your Signature" It'* pretty straight forward from there.

Welcome to the BonnevilleForum Ken, glad to have ya. I had a 64 2 door Catalina in that light blue in 10th grade. And thought Black Sabbath sounded awesome with reverb on. Great times in that "Baby Bonneville".
