Well thanks everybody and sorry to be so long in replying. Been in Taos where there was no internet connection, believe it or not. The Bonneville is an SE. And no offense meant to anybody - I subscribe fully to the Peter Pan syndrome myself.

My personal mechanic was kind enough to find the part required for replacement and also to let me know the price and what the dealer should do, etc., so that I don't go in blind. I appreciate your responses and your warm welcomes.

even the base SE models are VERY nice cars for the money
