Hello everyone! I'm glad to be a part of this forum. I have been restoring my 54 chevy truck since I got it for my fifteenth birthday in 1990. I have just had the immense luck of finding a 69 caprice with an original 427 and hideaway headlights for $3000. It was in the desert for the last seven years but the engine had been rebuilt and cleaned up nicely. I try to do most of the work on it and with the aid of the factory assembly manual have done an okay job on the grille and engine compartment. I hope to be able to help with any info or exerience that might help a fellow amateur restorer with their pride and joy.
