Guys/Gals
Very neat thing youve got going.
I bought a 1992 bonne SSEI for my daughter, car is comfy and quick.

But I bought it for her therefore i will maintain it. Talk about an education.

Lesson # 1. Crank and cam sensor, of course I bought more parts than i needed
Spark controller under Caps (probably not the right name)

Lesson #2 The coolant tube at the top of the manifold ( cheap cast or plastic dont remember. This failed causing the car to lose coolant and of corurse my teeenager drovre till the car stopped, actually this is lesson one because I think this is what smoked the crank sensor

Lesson # 3 when the crank sensor goes when a teenager is driver the starter and baterry will follow crank crank crank still wont start.

Lesson #4 Instrument cluster
Probably the best walk through on a repair I have ever executed. whoever wrote this you should work for haynes or chilton and they should make you rich. Unfortunately after I went through the process the gauges worked for a full day then went nuts again, strange when acting up acelaration energizes the gauges again, while up oil pressure is high, decellarate gauges go dead, makes me believe either a loose ground on block or the boost gauge is affecting it. it has worked for the last two days.

Lesson #5 Fuel gauge filled the car up and E on the gauge i have read the procedure on the 200 k resistor will probably attack that one this weekend. Finally a repair under a dollar. Radio shack web site has the resistor for .99 cents

Lesson #6 Car hesitates on sweeping right turn. Your posts are right on only does this when fuel level is low, filled the tank (hence found out about the fuel gauge defect) Later i will go with the 93 fuel pump assembly for now I will insist my teeenager keeps the car above 1/4 tank (yea right)

I am suprised pontiac has not stepped up to the plate on some of these problems...

I really appreciate the info you share keep it up

Steve
