Hello all, I'm a proud new owner of a '99 SSE I found with only 45k on the odometer. Got everything incl. the HUD. put 2k on it already, what a great car. So much info on these forums, can't wait to get to work this spring. Hopefully by the end of the summer I will have gone through everything up to new rockers! And for starters... anyone point me in the direction of a good thread on the reliability of the non-HD trannies?

Post some pics of that bad dad.
As for reliability of the 4T65E, post your question in the 92-99 forum. On a side note, my 99 has 143,000 miles. The tranny has juuuuuuust started to slip. Overall, been a great tranny and put up with my abuse!

she'* in the shop today, gettin new 1/2shaft (cv click) and AC compressor clutch (noisy when off cycle) under Lemon-Law warranty. I'll snap some photo'* with my phonecam
