Default Greetings from West Virginia!

Well, I realize it'* quite an old model for a new member, but I've become the new proud owner of a 1993 Bonne' earlier this week. I've always been a member of a Grand Prix board but never actually owned one, so I was hoping to find a similarly interesting and helpful forum about Bonnevilles. I've ghosted for a day or two and it seems as though I've found it! Just wanted to say hi!

My initial concern with the car is the engine. It'* been replaced once already, and I've heard several horror stories about similar GM engines (Best friend'* GP blew two, another friend has blown one... in a camaro) The tranny seems to be a popular bonneville issue as well. I'm not a hot rodder by any means, and this car is extremely well-kept, but surely you can understand my concern. Looking forward to being a member of the board!

Thanks, I appreciate it. I've purchased the car but have yet to pick it up. I'll edit my signature with the trim and such once I receive the car later this week.

Actually, the 3800'* are pretty reliable motors. maintained properly, and they can last easily into the 220K mile range. What model is your Bonneville? Supercharged or naturally aspirated?

No kidding... I was born and raised in New Martinsville! That'* crazy. I graduated from Mag in 2004 so I may be a bit younger, but that'* nice to hear from someone random on a forum.
I'm sure we still know a lot of the same people (or families.) Small town, really small world.

I'm unsure of the trim yet. As it is, I have been at school at WVU for a few years and the car was bought out of necessity (from a friend of my mom'*) but I haven't yet had the title transfered into my name. I believe it is the SSE but I may be wrong.

Haha well you know, I meant an older model for a NEW member :P

She'* a beaut, though. Completely garage kept, hardly driven. She'* got a good few miles, but very well taken care of. I believe the total body miles are ~170k, but I believe the recently replaced engine was around 60k when dropped in. So hopefully I can make the old(er) girl last a long time

Wow it is a small world..

I was Born in the Old Wetzel (spelling) County Hospital.... Actually not too far from my Uncles house on the Hill.. I didn't grow up there but I still call it home.. I visit up there at least once a year.. And I need to make it up there for a Town and Country, I love the Truck Pulls... Talent Contest was ok the last time I was there too

I have family in New Martinsville, Wheeling, Moundsville and Peyton City...

I fell over when I came up one year and the Giant Eagle( Cry... I loved being able to walk over there from my dads cousins house right across from the plaza ) was gone and Hills was history, Ames disappeared... Miss the Sub Way being there too..

Yeah it sure is a small world
