I think when they changed the body style in 97 they switched to all 3800s in the GP V6, not 100% sure though.
nope, he is break down for w-bodys. just pulling this from my head.

1988- 2.8mpfi
1989-2.8, 3.1, 3.1 turbo (TGP only)

That also only applies to Grand Prixs. The first gen W Regal got the 3800 Series I (Series II in 96)

Also, 3100s are VERY easy engines to make sound flipping awesome. Before I put the cherry bombs on, I had one rusted out stocker and one good stocker... sounded nice and low the way it was. I would have liked to keep it that way, but we have emissions inspection here.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Oh, I didn't mention that I'm 18. I worked my *** off to buy my car last summer. Now I wish I had a job Also, the family fleet... my parents have an '89 Buick Skyhawk and an '89 Ford E-150 conversion van.
