When my 01 SE started having the ole (hard shift problem) I talked to several tranny shops and they all said my tranmission was going bad at 140000 miles (p1811 code) and needed to be rebuilt. One place did say it could be the PCS and said replacing it might fix the problem for around $600.00. Well after doing some research and finding this forum, I installed a Thrasher Shift Kit and problem solved for around $100 bucks.
