Question GM Replacing Trany with Srta trany HELP!

Hi All
This is my second year in my Chevy Malibu 2009 last year was a dream this year a nightmare. Won't get into all the stuff I replace but right now the dealer is replacing my trany, and I need advice please they just called and said that GM is going to replace trany with srta trany. I need to know if there is anything I should make sure they do before they put it in or if there is questions I should be asking? Also is this SRTA a good transmission, because I can't afford to replace it a couple months down the line. If someone could please steer me in the right direction please! Thank you

welcome. must be pretty decent if gm is outsourcing the rebuild to them. unless they are forcing the warranty on someone else

SRTA actually stands for Service Replacement Transmission Assembly. That'* typically what you get from GM when you destroy your factory one. My old car put 170,000 miles onto a SRTA, so I wouldn't worry too much about reliability.
