Hello Mike,

My car is an Alpine A610 Turbo (a french sports car with rear engine). It is equipped with GM pop-up headlights (that you can see here : ). But when I type the number on Google or GM spare parts websites, no one can find my piece. I am asking you today to find which car could be equipped with these headlights. I will let you some pictures from the assembly out of the car... (but how can I upload a picture ?)

Many thanks for your help,
Etienne

P.*. Sorry for my poor English

Are you kidding me? Poor English? I've seen 60 year old americans...oh nevermind. Your English is perfect!

What year is your Alpine?

And are you talking about the bulbs themselves or the flipup assembly?

And maybe you can post a picture of the part number/sticker?

Thank you Mike !

My Alpine A610 is from 1992. This model was produced from 1991 to 1995. I know that the previous model (the "GTA" from 1987) had a US-spec variant with exactly the same pop-up system coming from GM. The only difference was the bulbs (american homologation for the GTA and european homologation for the A610). In fact, I would like to mount new clear headlights on my car, so what I would like to identify the origin of the assembly to find the good bulbs.

Here are the part numbers I noted on the assembly :
- Fix frame (fixed on the car) : GM 16508820
- Headlights housing (flip-up part) : GM 16506889
- Motor : 16508725

I have picture from the whole piece but I don't know how tu upload a file...

Thanks,
Etienne

I'm not having any luck either. I believe one of our members is a GM parts guy and might be able to look things up. It'* common for manufactures to make parts for other companies including foreign ones. Why we can't find a part for those part numbers is beyond me.

I didn't know that GM (and other american manufacturers) could make parts for foreign manufacturers. In fact, the whole pop-up assembly was specially made for the GTA ? About the GTA, you can find a picture from the car here : http://images.forum-auto.com/mesimag...7AlpineGTA.jpg

all the big manufacturers do cross sales to different companies. we were talking the other day about different gm engines in different things, i work on kohler generators some with gm engines converted to run on propane. there are also a number of boats like mercruiser, and campers that have them.
