Hey everyone, Greetings
Anyone around Madera, Merced in Central Ca?
I have a 95 Bonneville, 185K miles, non supercharged, right now motor is locked up, guess ..
I know about the leaky intakes, just havent got to it yet. I have a few project cars
waiting in the wings,
I have a 8-5 day job, plus I do some repair on the side, Had my ase cert in engines,
let it lapse. I love the 3.8 engine, dont understand why they even came up with the
60 degree engines,, my opinion is the 3800 platform can handle any power requirement except for maybe trucks. Havent driven a supercharged model yet, was wondering how long they last before they need freshening or replacement. You guys probably know all that.
Anyways, I plan on going thru the 3800 that is in the 95, replacing the intake and gaskets, also the front cover due to the oil pump, as well as a complete overhaul,
Is there anything that needs to be looked at specific to the 3800??
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to BC.

Not too many active members in central California. A couple in Stockton and Sacramento that I know of for sure.
