Default Bonneville Owner once more!

YES! I just purchased a Silver 1997 Bonneville SSE! I had a Green 1995 a few years back, but it was prematurely slain in a crash. Drove a 95 LeSabre between the both of them. Its dark out, but I'll be taking pictures of it tomorrow.

I'm so glad to be behind the wheel of a Bonneville again!

Where are you from?
Appleton, Wisconsin.

As for pictures, I'm looking for where we put the digital camera, but in the meantime

The one I had before

The Lesabre I drove, now passed down to my father

It was harder to find a Bonneville in my area, that was in my price range, than I had thought. Only found three that were really local, and I originally had eliminated the one I wound up purchasing because they were asking more than we wanted to pay, but we managed to talk them down to a reasonable price. Looks like its in pretty good shape too. I had my mechanic go over it before buying, and he'* going to take care of a couple things for me, freshen up the fluids.

Its a 97 SSE, Silver Exterior with Dark Gray leather interior, Stock CD Player & speakers, On-Wheel Stereo controls, Electronic Climate Control (Very cool!), Electronic Compass (It reminds me of TRON, or that episode of the simpsons where homer was 3D), Moon Roof, standard 3800 Series II engine, and its really nice just to have all the gauges again. The LeSabre'* only gauges were fuel and speed, and both of them were a little bit off at that. Everything else is just alert lights. When I switched from the green bonnie to the lesabre, I kept reaching down to the floor for the shift lever. now that I've switched back, I keep reaching up by the steering wheel.

Oh, and either the previous owner or the dealer, put the floor mats from a SSEi in. Makes me chuckle and dream of superchargers when I glance at em.

Thanks for the warm welcome! =D

OOH. You're in Appleton? I'm only 35 miles away! We're finally getting some NE Wisconsin members!
