Talking bigboystan on board

I'm a new member. Am a Buick lover. My ride at present is a 1997 Ultra. At ~ 93,000 my supercharger started making some bad sounds - - - - - HELP!!!

Thanks,
bigboystan

Welcome to the site. You came to the right place. I suggest starting a thread about the supercharger in the proper area. But I'm willing to bet you need a new coupler. Not a real big deal to replace.

thanx for the reply Danthurs,
The noise does sound a little like a box of rocks.
Like rattling sounds.
I'm in process of a crash course in supercharger specifics, mainly because I want to get the unit repaired, without burning a load of cash.
I don't know if I need to get a rebuilt unit, or replace the drive part of the supercharger.
Can you replace bearings in the drive unit cheaply, and who/where does this work?

Thanks

Cool Buick qualities

:As you intimated - Buicks, beside being comfortable, powerful, etc., they are also well built, sturdy cars. I've run all of mine hard! Never lost an engine or transmission.:
