I have a 2011 impala lt and the a/c just stops working every now and then it may go months and then the cold stops blowing and the a/c light on the fan switch blinks on an off. turn it off for a little while and some times it comes back on, sometimes not you have wait. it seems to happen when the car has been running for a long time and is warmed up. after a problem it may be months before it happens again.

Could be an issue with the low pressure switch, or some other electrical anomaly.
