Hello.
I'd first like to comment regarding this forum. Kudos to all for putting together a quality forum. I'm new to Bonneville ownership, but a long time, hard core GM guy. I currently own a 2000 SSEi (new and unmolested), 2001 Impala LS (slightly modded), 2001 Suburban 2500 (8.1 V8 BBC) and a 1999 Blazer. I have owned a number of late model Camaro'* (Z28'* and an SS) along with a 1994 Impala SS. I look forward to doing some mods to my new beast as the weather permits. I have lurked into some of your posts and am really stoked to put some of what I've learned thus far into practice.
Thanks again.

I actually live really close to Danthurs, so I got that going for me...
I haven't been able to get alot of pics thus far due to our fan f-ing tastic Wisconsin weather, but I'm working on it.

I live in Belgium, just south from you on the lake.
This is my dd, so my mods will be on the minimal side, probably more cosmetic, but a pulley, a down pipe and cai aren't out of the question. I was thinking about a cat-back, but the stock system actually has a pretty decent tone to it. I put on a ton of miles (2500/month) so I don't want to kill the MPG too much.

I learned a ton on my n/a 3.8 in my Impala. A little effort paid big in regards to how that motor breathed. A cai and a cat back made that car totally different, I would imagine with a */c those changes will make an even bigger difference.

No need to touch the cat back. You have 2.5" stainless. A new downpipe, PEMs or headers will make a huge difference. Rockers will also do a lot, a cam is even better.

Thanks a ton.
We'll be touch in the future, I'm sure.
I have taken a look at the 3.8 W-body stuff and it seems as though a lot of it transfers over to the H-bodies. I am still amazed at the aftermarket'* offerings for the 3.8'*. I am a tried and true V-8 guy, so seeing what'* out there for these cars is pretty sweet.
