1996 bonneville SSEi
hello everyone just got a '96 Bonneville ssei supercharged V6 with 105k miles, red with gold spoke rims (i guess) the red paint is peeling off the roof behind the sunroof, passenger side bumper is a little damaged looks like someone spray painted the scratches on the corner of the left bumper.
Dent above the front drivers side tire, other than that this car is NICE..all tan leather interior $250 CD player new back speakers..love the digital mileage display on the dash that reflects into the windshield..good miles..car runs great ..but im not to sure how much care the 2nd previous owner took of her though..
In the next few months I plan on (if needed)
changing the tranny fluid/filter, fuel filter, serpentine belt, spark plugs,oil/filter (gota ask prev. owner)
-other things i want to do later.
-paint job -really could use this-
How much for all black paint job? theres a dent, and the corner of bumper is like flaked off (broken a little ) will this add up the cost of a paint job or will they paint over it?
-new front bumper? it needs one
-Please leave me more suggestions on common things i may need to change .

When you do the spark plugs check in doing the wires. Also check to see if it has dex-cool. If it does flush it out and put in the "green" kind a glycol based anti-freeze (I think thats a god hing to do but wait for others to second it) check the air filter. Also the motor mounts if the egine moves around excessively or the car bounces while idling. Can ask the other SC guys about the supercharger oil, I sadly have not been blessed with the endowment of a SC. Check the brake pad and shoe wear. Nothing else I can think of a this moment. Glad to see you are diving head first in to your new ride.

Hello fellow 96 Ei owner
There is a bunch of performance mods you can do to your car. But first go through the basics to make sure your car is going to handle any type of mod. Tune it up, check everything over.
What are your mechanical abilities? Are you good with hand tools?
If you are good with hand tools than you can do many of your own maintenance jobs.
There is a good write up in tech info on changing the Supercharger oil, and info on buying the right kind of oil for it that will save you money.
So stay a while take your time look through every thing and enjoy!
