Default 1996 Bonneville

Newbie. Attracted to the Club because of concerns about the Intake Plenum and associated gaskets. As an aside, my father started with PMD in 1955 and worked in various field office positions until 1986 when he passed away. He was always furnished a company car which he would only drive for about 3,000 miles (normally). In an article about the recent GM strike it was noted the last company wide work stoppage occurred in 1970. Because the strike went on so long there was a severe shortage of Pontiacs and I was shocked when my dad picked me up from college at Thanksgiving because he was driving a car with 12K miles! I've had the privledge of being in many Bonneville models and although the product has had many versions for the most part the engineers and marketers kept them exciting. Thank you to all of those who have contributed to the preservation of this nameplate. Perhaps the powers at GM will wake up on morning and realize, as Ford did with the Taurus, they have shot themselves in the foot by discontinuing this much revered model name.
I have a 1996 Bonneville SE with tan leather, white exterior and 16" wheels. It was my mothers and has about 63k on the odo.[/u]

Hello and welcome to BonnevillleClub

Sounds like you have some Pontiac history in your family, they are excelent cars, but you don't need me to tell you that :P

Feel free to ask away any questions you have in the mechanical section for your car and also check out the Techinfo section at the top of every page for more info also.
