Default rear lift gate shock lift support removal

I waited to it gets cold to do the rear door and to top it off I did at night by my self. It'* easy to do just use a flat head in the middle there'* a medal clip use ur flat head push down and with ur other hand if u can pull it out I had to let the door down some. The same for the bottom theres a medal clip too. I didn't realize how heavy this door is when I took off the one side I said **** let me put that side on so it holds the weight more. I did that made it alot easy to do the other side. Took me like 10 min by myself. So they recommend 2 people to do the job but it'* possible with just one. Important that you take the top off first then the bottom. Install the top first it snaps on with a lil hit then lift up to the bottom to snap on. Repeat on the other side. My old supports were dead couldn't get the rear door up anymore and opening the door then slowly closing it on ur rear legs got annoying cause that door heavy as hell, you open it then let go it'* slams fast not good. So nomore having to use the rear window, so there you have it its possible for one person to do it them self.
