we have allways used MOBIL 1 tranny flulid in every thing fords GM ford has 199.000 on trans still works great Buick regal went 276,000 and only stop working from input shaft spines seared
was used in 1991 Taurus those failed at 60 k 70k
do to bad lubrication design ours lasted untell 186.000
like 3 times the normal life
now that'* with changes at 30k
all this started when out tranny guy working on police cars and postal
found every thing failing do to heat
so he stated mixing 50/50 mobil 1 motor oil with tranny fluid
{THIS WAS BEFORE THERE WAS MOBIL 1 TRANS FLUID!!!}
and guess what no more failing of police cars that run 24 7
hard to trust any thing other after so much personal experience
with some thing as proven as this

O and soft ride my father did same as you
they would not even admit that was part of armed service
for like 40 years
and after he was done they tried to draft him into the army
here when he was on ships being torpedoed right and left at the time
