Default Help Identifying 1998 GM Motor

I recently bought a 1998 Brush Bandit Chipper with a motor stamped 14097080 142 98 Hecho Mexico.

The guy before me did a bunch of very tweaker stuff to the motor and I want to return it to stock but can not identify the motor or find a manual for it.

Some research leads me to believe it is a 1998 GM Mercruiser, but I have had no luck finding any kind of manual for that. Photos attached.

That'* a Chevy 6 (194, 230, 250 cu in) with 2 cylinders off. Your idea of age makes it the 153 cu in marine 4 cyl engine or possibly the 3.0L larger variant. I see the engine was still cast for a mechanical fuel pump too (block off plate). That may change over the years. It may be another data point to confirm.

Thank you so much for the info, any idea where I could find a manual for this motor? According to the chipper build sheet it has a GM 76 HP 3.L Engine.

Some additional information, found out the Carburetor is a Zenith Model 28, but can't figure out what this Attachment on it is? Says RICH 12 4 Volts.
