I've had my 07 Yukon 5.3 flashed four times at the local GM dealership. Trying to install a Diablo tuner to deactivate the DOD feature, along with other features.

Originally it wouldn't install a transmission tune and they had me set it to 'manual tranny' so it would bypass the install.

After multiple emails with Diablo Sports and three flashes at the dealership I sent the tuner back to Diablo. They checked it out and said I needed to get the Yukon flashed once more since there was a Diablo engine tune still installed.

Did that a fourth time and the tuner says there is still a Diablo tune installed. For what it'* worth, the service writer didn't seem to know the difference between the 'outdated' PCM and ECM. Instead of flashing both ECM and TCM, the first two times they only did the ECM. Then I had the TCM done.

Now, after getting Diablo to check out the unit, I had both flashed and it won't load, saying there is a Diablo tune on the vehicle.

My question is: When the dealership is installing a flash, does their equipment verify if the GM tune is actually installed, as a computer program would? If not, how would they know if it was successfully installed?

I'm waiting for the gen mgr to get back to me and I would like to know this before we speak. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
