i was looking at fuel pressure regulator repair kits and noticed some come with springs and some dont.i was wondering do i need the spring?

you dont have to guess, thats why i posted procedures, if you have fuel pressure within spec and it stays then its not fuel, if not then look into what part

do you guys have any idea what that little steel piece is called that goes from the air/smog pump to the diverter .it connects the two.
