Default Chevy C5500

Is anyone experiencing problems with the Chevy C5500? Our 2009 model is experiencing electronic/electrical issues. Check engine illuminates and truck derates and loses power. Already had a new computer installed one year ago and now having same issues.

Yes, it has always been diagnoised & replaced at a dealer. Exact same issues one year ago and it sat at a service center for 32 days trying to be repaired. A new computer was installed and it was ok for one year to the day. Check engine light illuminates and gives a low fuel rail pressure, truck derates

Have you checked the fuel pressure? Does the fuel pump sound like it primes okay when you turn the key to "on"? When was the fuel filter replaced last?

ive found not all dealers are equal, if your not happy with the service you should try someone else. i was having some repetitive issue with my 550, taking it to different ford dealers, and wound up taking it to fleet center that does medium and hd trucks, its much better now.

Truck has always been serviced when due. Only been worked on at a GM service center. Warranty just now expiring. Fuel filter replaced two days ago. Have been having problems, again, for over a month.
