Default Best oil Catch Can???

I know there are lots to choose from for oil catch cans... but, I'd like to rig up one with a valve on the bottom where I can reach in an manually push a lever (don't want a twist setup to have to unscrew, but some sort of valve that has a lever that can be pushed to open it) to drain the catch can that also has space to clamp a hose on to.

That way, I can run a hose from the catch can down towards the ground so I can push the lever and drain the catch can into a pan below the truck (I'm doing this on a full size Chevy truck with a 5.3L engine)

Anybody seen a setup like this for sale?
(I can provide the drainage hose)

I haven't.

Are you having some kind of oil escape issue?

No, just want an easy way to drain it.

Asking for trouble using a manual valve. Stones hit oil pans all the time, hate to see one hit the valve and dump all your oil out.

I want a drain on the bottom of the oil catch can, not on my oil pan...

For oil drain plugs (the normal kind that screw in to the oil pan...) someone should make a locking drain plug so pranksters don't climb under yer truck and drain the oil out.

That could be done where they catch the oil, replace the drain plug once the oil is out and the driver would not know there was no oil in the engine until it was too late.

They should also make a gizmo that goes around yer oil filter making it locked.

It'd be a nice little invention for someone... once it hits the market and the product is advertised, there would probably be a spike in this prank since not too many are are thinking about doing this to people'* truck right now...

If you have an issue with punk kids in the neighborhood, either beat the **** out of them, or move. Needing that kind of security for your car is ridiculous. Better put a lock on your catalytic converter too.

On another note, you still have to get 'under' the vehicle to remove the drain plug from the oil pan. So, having a catch pan would be moot. Or am I not seeing what'* going on here??

My main thing right now is getting setup with an oil catch can that has a lever operated drain valve so the can will be easy to empty.

The locking drain plug idea was just a side bar.

I probably won't be interested in spending time in prison for assault

But, for a business idea selling locking drain plugs and a gizmo to lock oil filters might be profitable.

I see a ZERO market for such a thing.

Until they start advertising and people start getting the idea to do this to people'* vehicles.

And, some would buy something like this just out of fear!

Lots of stuff is purchased based on fear.
